It’s important to have the right Dash Diet Salad dressings to go on those all important salads, here are two of my favorite Dash Diet Salad Dressings.

Walnut Vinaigrette

Walnuts have many health benefits, they contain amino acid l-arginine which help heart disease, walnuts have amino 3 fat alpha acid which helps for bone health. Here is healthy and tasty walnut vinaigrette to ensure you’re getting enough vegetables and micro nutrients in your daily diet. Micro nutrients or trace minerals and vitamins can help reduce your unhealthy sugar cravings and keep you energized for longer.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegarwalnut vineg
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp Chia SeedsBlend ingredients in a high-powered blender until smooth.

Apricot and Orange Vinaigrette

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup dried apricots
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 navel orange, peeled
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup raw cashews
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Basil Vinegar or balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 scallions (white part only)

Directions

Soak apricots in 1/2 cup water for 30 minutes. The add apricots and soaking water to a high-powered blender along with remaining ingredients and blend until smooth

TAHINI SALAD DRESSING RECIPE

Balsamic Vinegar Dressing

Here is a low sodium Balsamic Vinegar dressing that is so nice with a salad as well as a sauce for steak or chicken. Balsamic vinegar is a grape product, which means that it has been found to prevent cardiac disease and improve your overall health.

Balsamic Vinegar has other benefits to improving your skin’s appearance due to antioxidants; it helps treat acne, and some Mediterranean cultures have used it for its anti-aging properties for centuries.

If you’re not feeling that adventurous, you can try adding it to your salad, with some fresh Mozzarella and arugula.

 

Basic Low Sodium Balsamic Vinegar

Ingredients

  • 6 dried plums
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar

Directions

Place plums and water in sauce pan, simmer until 3 tablespoons of water remains.

In a food processor, add plums reduced liquid pulsing to combine. Then add balsamic and remaining ingredients pulsing until smooth.

BASIC BALSAMIC VINAIGRETTE

Balsamic Vinaigrette

  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2-3 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • dash garlic powder
  • Whisk all the ingredients together

    ANOTHER BALSAMIC VINAIGRETTE
