Avocado Mashed Potatoes

Avocados are a great way to give mashed potatoes a creamy texture without the calories and fat of butter and cream. You can also cut down on carbs by using fewer potatoes and using more avocados. Mash avocados and potatoes in a large bowl and slowly add a little bit of warm milk. Fold in lemon juice and toss in some garlic powder for extra flavor

Ingredients 
- 5 potatoes
- 2 medium avocados
- ½ cup nonfat milk
- 1 tsp lemon
- ground pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Directions
- Peel and quarter the potatoes, then wash them thoroughly.
- Place them in a large pot of water and cover to bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, then peel and pit the avocados.
- When cooked through, drain potatoes and transfer them to a large bowl.
- Mash the potatoes and avocado while slowly adding milk and lemon juice. Finish with garlic powder to taste.
